Psychological Support

In partnership with UNICEF Refugee Response Office in Poland, we have successfully expanded our project of Mobile MHPSS Teams in Wroclaw, Krakow, and Warsaw. Beginning in January 2024, our teams, consisting of experienced psychologists, social workers, child protection officers, and outreach specialists, visit collective accommodation sites and community centers to provide support to the most vulnerable groups. Our professionals’ primary focus is on children and their caregivers. They offer a range of activities for both groups and individuals, including educational and recreational programs for children, parenting skills workshops, and individual consultations. These activities aim to enhance psychosocial support, facilitate the integration of individuals, and promote social behavior change (SBC) within the supported population.

In 2025, VELA established a partnership with the HOPE Project to strengthen and continue delivering essential PSS services. Through this collaboration, we ensure ongoing emotional and psychological support for those in need, with a particular focus on creating accessible, inclusive, and compassionate care for both children and adults.
